The 1st International Nursing Congress 2016

Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are global development agenda which agreed by the United Nations at the end of September 2015 in New York, USA. SDGs started in 2016 and finished in 2030. SDGs are international agenda which aimed to encourage national engagement and commitment to support sustainability global development. The 17 new Sustainable Development Goals, also known as the Global Goals, have 169 targets that worthwhile to complete global health problem in 15 years later.

The SDGs have a more ambitious agenda and more complex than MDGs. By observing global problems which more complicated, health problems are leading the issues that have to be finished. Health improvement is one of the SDGs goals. Nurses have important roles to achieve optimum health for all people. Therefore, nurses must have an excellent skill and must be competent.

To raise awareness the newly agenda SDGs and to improve nurses skill, Faculty of Nursing University of Indonesia is going to held Nursing Congress, entitled Moving Forward Through the Roles of Nurses Impacting SDGs Achievement: Strategies and Implementation among Postgraduate Students in Indonesia and other Country. Nursing Congress will discuss about how do nursing strategies and implementation encounter of SDGs. Target of this Congress are postgraduate students, clinical nurses, and policy maker.
