The UKICIS welcomes Universitas Indonesia as its seventh member. Universitas Indonesia has proven to be proud partner of UKICIS member universities in teaching and research. Moving forward, UKICIS as an inclusive consortium will involve more universities in both countries to strengthen each other, and make meaningful impact through interdisciplinary scientific collaborations.
A diaspora-led UKICIS draws its strength from academics at the University of Nottingham, the University of Warwick, and Coventry University, together with those at Institut Teknologi Bandung, Institut Pertanian Bogor, and Universitas Gadjah Mada in Indonesia. With Universitas Indonesia as a new partner, we believe the UKICIS will be able to deliver more impactful activities and create stronger bonds between the UK and Indonesia, as well as help create a more resilient Indonesia against climate change, the pandemic, and natural disasters.
